More specifically, will she be able to win over Hillary Clinton supporters? A report from WTVD-TV asks this question. Senator Elizabeth Dole(R) says yes, citing her personality and the fact that she has been mayor. But Pamela Cash-Roper, a Republican, is not impressed. She says that it is an insult “to think that we would vote for a woman just because she was a woman.” Yet that is what the McCain campaign is banking on. So far, we have herd nothing to suggest that Sara Palin has any record of standing up for women’s issues or will be a voice for women as Vice President. In fact, there are accusations that she is opposed to equal pay for men and women. This is the biggest threat to Palin’s image. Her first national TV interview will be with ABC. She will need to address women’s issues then if she wants to win over female Hillary supporters.
