As of late the polls have been sliding the way of the Obama/Biden ticket. Fears that a GOP mainstay hangs in the balance, Palin visited the state on Tuesday, October 7, in hopes to revitalize the republican backing. North Carolina has backed the Republican party in every election for thirty years and this is the first election since then that the Democrats have serious hopes and intentions of capturing the states votes. Palin’s trip to Greenville will be the the first stop in the Carolina’s since the Republican National Convention last month. Palin’s speech was, to the best of my knowledge, the first formal accusation from the candidates linking Obama to the Weatherman organization which is allegedly responsible for multiple bombings. She also correlated Obama’s shadiness when it came to this issue with the fact that the public cannot trust him on any other issues if we cannot trust him on Ayers and his link to the organization. I still await a formal, public response from Obama about Palin’s speech and allegations.
